Hold a Sound Bites Picnic

during Hearing Awareness Week 27 Feb - 3 March, 2023
to raise awareness of the impact of hearing loss and
to promote hearing care for all.

Hold a Sound Bites Picnic with your school, workplace or friends & family to help raise community awareness of the impact of hearing loss and how implementing simple preventative strategies can protect this valuable sense.

Hearing loss is the most common disability in adulthood.  It affects 1 in 6 Australians and costs Australian a staggering $11.75 billion annually in lost productivity and other impacts.  60% of childhood hearing loss is preventable.  Only 17% of those who might benefit from a hearing aid actually use one.

Hearing loss can be life-changing.  Those who experience hearing loss are at increased risk of social isolation, unemployment and loneliness.

Help us raise awareness of the impact of hearing loss to improve the lives of the people who live with it and to promote hearing care for all.
